MEET GRANT CAMPBELL
Grant Campbell
Republican Candidate for
N.C. House District 83
Endorsed by Rep. Kristin Baker and Rep. Kevin Crutchfield
"Conservative Champion for Cabarrus & Rowan County"
Born and raised in North Carolina by a single mother, Grant grew up in a family that had difficulties making ends meet. Recognizing that education was the best escape from poverty, Grant went on to graduate from UNC-Chapel Hill.
A Dean’s List student, Grant discovered an interest in medicine and fell in love with his future wife of 26 years, Anita. He then gained admission to medical school at UNC and received multiple awards for academic excellence and leadership and was elected Student Body President by his classmates.
After 9/11, Grant answered the call to serve our nation as a military doctor, doing three tours in the Middle East, including one with Special Forces.
Upon retiring from the U.S. Army as a Lt. Colonel, he returned to the private practice of medicine and became active in the community serving his fellow veterans and assisting low-income patients to receive the medical care they need.
Grant currently serves as Vice Chairman of the N.C. State Board of Community Colleges and is frequently consulted by the General Assembly during the drafting of legislation related to healthcare and veterans’ issues. He also serves on the Board of Directors/Advisors of the UNC General Alumni Association, The Independence Fund, and the Interpreting Freedom Foundation and has been an active volunteer in the Republican Party.
Grant and his family are once again answering the call to serve by running for election to represent the people of House District 83.
